Study of treatment choices for untreated brain cavernous malformations

Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with a cerebral cavernous malformation (CCM) on an MRI scan.
  • You have not had any surgery, radiation, or other invasive treatments for this condition before.
  • You are willing to have long-term follow-up appointments and tests.
  • If you have surgery, you agree to let researchers study a small piece of the removed tissue.
  • If you choose observation only, you agree to let researchers use your imaging data for research.
  • You do not have other serious brain conditions (like aneurysms or tumors) or severe medical illnesses that would limit your participation.
