Who can take part
- You are at least 18 years old.
- Your blood pressure stays high (average 24-hour systolic over 125 or diastolic over 80) even though you take 3 or more blood pressure medicines, including a water pill.
- You have not changed your blood pressure medicines in the last 14 days.
- You are not allergic to minocycline or similar antibiotics.
- You have not used oral antibiotics in the last 3 months and do not expect to during the study.
- You do not have serious kidney disease (eGFR below 45), secondary hypertension, or recent heart problems.
