Who can take part

  • You have chronic kidney disease stage 3 or 4 (moderate to severe, but not on dialysis).
  • You have been diagnosed with sarcopenia (low muscle mass and either low grip strength or slow walking speed).
  • You are able to walk without assistance.
  • You do not have diabetes.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is 25 or less (not overweight or obese).
  • You have not had any recent heart problems, infections, or other serious illnesses in the last 3 months.
