Does changing exercise time improve sleep in college students?

This study looks at whether changing the time you exercise (from evening to morning) can help college students sleep better. You'll wear a small wrist monitor to track your sleep and activity, and either keep your usual evening exercise routine or switch to morning exercise for 4 weeks.

Who can take part

  • You are a healthy college student between 18 and 23 years old.
  • You usually exercise in the evening (6pm to 11pm) at least 3 times a week.
  • You feel your sleep quality is poor.
  • You are willing to wear a small wrist device (like a watch) all day and night, except when bathing.
  • You are not taking any sleep medications and do not have a diagnosed sleep disorder.
  • You can change your exercise schedule to the morning if needed, and keep up your exercise routine for 4 weeks.
