Who can take part
- You had a type of stroke called 'aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage' (bleeding in the brain from a burst blood vessel) that shows a certain amount of blood on a CT scan.
- A CT scan or other imaging has confirmed a ruptured saccular aneurysm as the cause.
- You have or will have a drain in your brain (EVD) to help manage fluid.
- You are scheduled for surgery to clip the aneurysm (or have already had it) and a drain is left in place.
- You are between 18 and 80 years old, and you (or a family member) can give consent.
- You are stable, with blood pressure at least 90 mmHg, and do not have conditions like severe hearing loss, kidney problems, or allergies to vancomycin.
