Who can take part
- Adults between 18 and 85 years old
- Have a drain in your head that is actively removing fluid (ventriculostomy)
- No known allergy to telavancin or similar antibiotics
- Good kidney function (eGFR greater than 50)
- Not pregnant, not a prisoner, and no severe anemia (hemoglobin level above 7)
- Not receiving other antibiotics at the start of the study
