  • You are 65 years old or older
  • You are scheduled for a knee or hip replacement surgery
  • You have trouble sleeping (at least mild insomnia)
  • You own a smartphone and are willing to use a sleep app and a watch-like device
  • You have not had cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia in the last 6 months
  • You do not have a sleep disorder other than insomnia (like untreated sleep apnea)
