Who can take part

  • You must be in the intensive care unit (ICU).
  • You could have no lung injury and have received a transfusion of red blood cells or platelets.
  • You could have indirect ARDS (a lung condition caused by another illness) with or without a transfusion.
  • You could have pneumonia with or without a transfusion.
  • You must not have lung injury caused by multiple blood transfusions.
  • You must not have a massive hemorrhage or object to data use.
