Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • Your cornea must be at least 350 micrometers thick at its thinnest point.
  • Your vision with glasses must be poor (0.30 logMAR or worse), but improving significantly with special contact lenses.
  • Your keratoconus must be considered advanced (stage 3–4) and stable for at least 12 months.
  • You must not have an allergy to nickel.
