Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older
- You are expected to need sedation with lormetazepam for at least 24 hours
- You are expected to stay in the ICU for at least 48 hours
- You are on a breathing machine (ventilator) for more than 6 hours
- You do not have active alcohol abuse or a history of sleep-related movement disorders
- You have not had brain surgery or a stroke that caused severe memory or thinking problems
