Who can take part
- You have breast cancer or non-small cell lung cancer that has spread to the lining of your brain or spinal cord.
- You are healthy enough to receive radiation therapy and have a good ability to perform daily activities (Karnofsky score of 60 or higher).
- You are 18 years or older.
- Your blood counts are stable (hemoglobin > 8, neutrophils > 1,000, platelets > 100,000).
- You are not pregnant and, if able to have children, must use two effective forms of birth control.
- You can have an MRI with contrast and have not had prior radiation to the same area that would prevent safe treatment.
