  • You have had a confirmed, non-traumatic brain bleed (subarachnoid hemorrhage).
  • You are over 18 years old.
  • You are not currently pregnant.
  • Your vital signs (blood pressure and heart rate) are stable enough to safely take a beta-blocker.
  • You do not have severe heart failure.
