This trial tests whether a type of non-invasive brain stimulation called intermittent theta burst stimulation can improve memory and thinking in people whose cognitive problems are caused by cerebral small vessel disease (damage to the small blood vessels in the brain). You may qualify if you have mild memory or thinking issues that have lasted at least three months.

  • You are between 45 and 80 years old.
  • You have mild memory or thinking problems (like trouble remembering or focusing) that have lasted at least 3 months.
  • You have been diagnosed with cerebral small vessel disease (damage to small brain blood vessels) based on an MRI scan.
  • You are independent in daily life (can take care of yourself without help from others).
  • You have been taking the same medications for your condition for at least 4 weeks.
