Who can take part

  • You have diabetes and a foot ulcer that has not healed for at least one month.
  • The ulcer is between 2 cm x 2 cm and 4 cm x 4 cm (about the size of a postage stamp).
  • You have poor blood flow in your leg, confirmed by tests like an ankle-brachial index (ABI) below 0.9.
  • You are 18 years or older and willing to use birth control if you could become pregnant.
  • You have not had a previous foot amputation due to diabetes.
