Who can take part

  • Your blood cancer is in an advanced phase (with a certain number of blast cells in the bone marrow or blood).
  • You have not had prior treatment with a type of drug called DNMT inhibitors (like azacitidine or decitabine).
  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You are generally able to care for yourself (ECOG performance status 0-3).
  • Your liver and kidney function are within acceptable limits.
  • You can swallow oral medications and weigh at least 50 kg (about 110 pounds).
