Who can take part

  • You must have a type of brain tumor called recurrent IDH-mutant malignant glioma (grade 3 or 4) that has grown back after standard treatment.
  • Your tumor must be a single, accessible spot in the brain that is smaller than about the size of a golf ball (less than 32 cc) and not pressing on important areas.
  • You must be well enough to have a Karnofsky score of 70 or higher (able to care for yourself but not do full normal activities).
  • You must be at least 18 years old and willing to undergo brain surgery to place the delivery tube.
  • Your bone marrow, liver, and kidney function must be within safe limits (checked by blood tests).
  • If you are of childbearing age, you must use birth control during and for some time after treatment.
