Who can take part
- You must be 18 or older.
- You have advanced lung adenocarcinoma (a type of non-small cell lung cancer) that cannot be removed by surgery.
- Your cancer has one of two specific EGFR mutations: 19Del or L858R, confirmed by a lab test.
- You have not received any previous cancer treatment for advanced or metastatic disease.
- You have at least one tumor that can be measured on scans, and it has not been treated with radiation recently.
- Your organs are working well enough (kidney, liver, blood counts) as shown by blood tests.
- You are able to take care of yourself (ECOG performance status 0 or 1) and are expected to live at least 12 weeks.
