Who can take part

  • You are 40 years or older.
  • You had a mini-stroke or stroke in the past 30 days caused by a narrowed artery inside the skull (30–99% blockage).
  • Your doctor has recommended you take two anti-clot medicines for at least 3 months.
  • You cannot take either of the study drugs (clopidogrel or ticagrelor) due to medical reasons, pregnancy, or other contraindications.
  • You do not need blood thinners for other conditions like an irregular heartbeat or a mechanical heart valve.
