Who can take part
- You are scheduled for brain or spine surgery for a tumor, blood vessel problem, injury, or other condition listed below.
- You have a problem like a brain tumor (not at the skull base), an aneurysm, an arteriovenous malformation (AVM), a cavernoma, or other blood vessel issue.
- You have a spine problem like a herniated disc, narrowing of the spinal canal, or a tumor in the spine.
- You have a condition like Parkinson's disease, essential tremor, dystonia, trigeminal neuralgia, chronic pain, epilepsy, or obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and are having a related surgery.
- If you undergo cognitive and psychological testing: you are 18 or older, speak Italian, and have a glioma, meningioma, vascular condition, or spine problem.
- You are being treated for a malformation like Chiari malformation type 1, craniosynostosis, or hydrocephalus.
