Who can take part

  • You have a thyroid tumor (either cancerous up to 4 cm, or non-cancerous up to 6 cm).
  • The cancer has not spread to lymph nodes on the sides of your neck or to other parts of your body.
  • You have not had previous neck surgery or radiation therapy.
  • Your vocal cords move normally (no fixed vocal cord).
  • You can fully extend your neck and open your jaw without significant restriction.
