Subclavian approach surgery for unilateral thyroid cancer

This study compares a new surgical method for removing thyroid cancer on one side of the neck. The approach goes through an incision near the collarbone, which may lead to less scarring and a faster recovery. Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 70 years old.
  • You have been diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer that is early stage (T1 or T2) and only on one side of the thyroid.
  • Your cancer has not spread to any lymph nodes or to other organs.
  • You are willing to have surgery to remove the cancer.
  • You are able to make decisions about your care and sign a consent form.
