Who can take part
- You have a spontaneous brain bleed (not caused by injury, aneurysm, tumor, or blood vessel problem).
- You are between 20 and 70 years old.
- Your bleed is larger than 30 ml.
- Your Glasgow Coma Scale (consciousness level) is 6 or higher before surgery.
- You do not have a bleeding disorder or take blood-thinning medication.
- You do not have severe liver or kidney failure, or fluid in the brain (hydrocephalus) from the bleed.
