Who can take part
- You are 20 years or older
- You have high uric acid, with a blood level over 7.0 mg/dL, and you have not used any uric acid lowering medication in the past 27 days, or you stopped taking such medication at least 27 days ago
- You have high blood pressure, and your blood pressure treatment (with or without medication) has been stable for at least 4 weeks
- You do not have active gout, kidney stones, or certain other medical conditions listed by the study team
