This study tests whether wearing a custom-made external helmet after a large skull removal surgery can prevent the skin from sinking in. If you've had this surgery in the last two weeks and are being treated at a Johns Hopkins hospital, you may be eligible.

Who can take part
- You are 18 years of age or older.
- You are a patient at Johns Hopkins Hospital or Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.
- You had a large skull removal surgery (decompressive hemicraniectomy) within the last 2 weeks.
- The surgery removed part of the skull on only one side (not both) and was not on the back of the head.
- You do not have a history of fluid buildup in the brain (hydrocephalus) or a permanent drainage tube (shunt).
