Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 85 years old.
  • You had a stroke caused by a blockage in a large artery in the front of your brain.
  • The clot removal procedure was started within 24 hours of when you were last known to be well.
  • The clot removal was successful (blood flow restored to at least 2b out of 3) and required 5 or fewer passes with the device.
  • You do not have a bleeding disorder, are not on blood thinners that would increase bleeding risk, and have not had recent major surgery or a prior bleeding stroke.
  • You are able to provide written consent (or have a family member do so).
