  • Your baby has a brain injury from low oxygen at birth (hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy)
  • Your baby also has a chest or breathing problem related to that brain injury
  • Your baby does not have a chest problem from other causes
  • Your baby's medical condition is stable
  • Your baby has not had surgery that caused breathing problems
