Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You have hypoparathyroidism diagnosed by low calcium and low or normal parathyroid hormone levels for at least 12 months after surgery.
- You currently take at least 0.5 mcg of calcitriol and 800 mg of calcium daily, or receive parathyroid hormone injections, and still have symptoms.
- You do not have a history of immune system problems that would be made worse by immune-suppressing medicines.
- You are up to date on recommended vaccines (flu, pneumonia, hepatitis B, tetanus).
