Who can take part

  • You must be between 12 and 17 years old.
  • You must have had hypoparathyroidism (low parathyroid hormone levels) for at least 6 months.
  • You must be able to get daily injections under the skin, either by yourself or with help from a caregiver.
  • Your vitamin D and magnesium levels must be normal, and your kidney function must be fairly good.
  • You cannot be taking certain other medicines that affect calcium or bone, like bisphosphonates or certain diuretics.
