Who can take part
- You have been diagnosed with low calcium in your blood (less than 2.2 mmol/L).
- Your parathyroid hormone (PTH) level is low or normal (not high).
- Your kidney function is normal (creatinine level is okay).
- You have not had neck surgery in the last 6 months.
- Your hypoparathyroidism is not temporary (like from a magnesium imbalance or as a newborn).
- You do not have other causes of low calcium, such as vitamin D deficiency or kidney failure.
