Who can take part

  • You must have had a stroke caused by a blocked blood vessel in the brain, diagnosed within 24 hours.
  • You must be scheduled for a procedure to remove the clot from the brain.
  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • Before the stroke, you were able to take care of yourself without help (score 0 or 1 on the modified Rankin Scale).
  • You or your legal representative must agree to participate in the study.
