Who can take part

  • Your age must be between 20 and 60 years old.
  • You should be in good overall health (ASA 1 or ASA 2, meaning no serious medical conditions).
  • You must be scheduled for a planned (not emergency) surgery on your leg or foot.
  • Your height should be between 150 and 180 cm (about 4 feet 11 inches to 5 feet 11 inches).
  • Your weight should be between 50 and 70 kg (about 110 to 154 pounds).
  • You must not have any major nerve problems, a serious heart rhythm issue, an infection where the shot goes, or be pregnant.
