Who can take part
- You must be 18 or older (21 for venous leg ulcers) and have a diabetic foot or venous leg ulcer that is at least 1 cm² but no bigger than 20 cm² after cleaning.
- Diabetic foot ulcer patients need type 1 or 2 diabetes, and the ulcer must be on the foot below the ankle.
- The ulcer must have been treated with standard care for at least 4 weeks before starting and not be infected or exposing bone or tendon.
- Your leg must have good blood flow, checked by a recent test like an ABI between 0.7 and 1.3.
- You must be willing to attend weekly study visits and use an offloading device (like a special shoe or boot) as directed.
