  • You must be 80 years old or older.
  • You are currently in the ICU at Dr. Hernán Henríquez Aravena Hospital in Temuco.
  • Your doctor expects you to need a breathing machine for more than 72 hours.
  • You do not have a history of serious brain or nerve problems.
  • You were not severely dependent on others for daily care before this hospital stay.
  • Your blood pressure and heart are stable enough for the treatment.
