Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older
  • You had a stroke from a blocked large artery and got emergency treatment to remove the clot within 24 hours
  • You have atrial fibrillation (irregular heartbeat) confirmed by a test or medical history
  • A brain scan after your stroke showed a specific type of bleeding (parenchymal hematoma) that is not too large or causes too much pressure
  • It has been between 7 days and 4 weeks since your stroke started
