Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You had a stroke caused by a blocked large artery in the front of your brain and a procedure to remove the clot.
  • Your LDL (bad) cholesterol is above a certain level (1.8 mmol/L) or your non-HDL cholesterol is above 2.6 mmol/L.
  • You had little or no disability before this stroke (able to carry out daily activities without help).
  • You have not used a PCSK9 inhibitor (like evolocumab or alirocumab) in the last 6 months.
