Who can take part

  • You are between 11 and 16 years old
  • You have been diagnosed with idiopathic scoliosis (a curved spine with no known cause)
  • Your spinal curve is greater than 20 degrees (measured by a special X-ray method called Cobb angle)
  • If you are a girl, you have started your period; if a boy, your voice has changed
  • Your parent or guardian has agreed to let you join the study
