Who can take part

  • You must have a genetic diagnosis of hypokalemic or hyperkalemic periodic paralysis.
  • You need to be at least 18 years old.
  • You must be able to walk at least 10 meters by yourself (with or without a walker or cane) and stand up from a chair without using your hands.
  • You should not have another major reason for muscle weakness.
  • You should not have heart or lung disease that makes exercise unsafe.
