Who can take part
- You must be 60 years or older.
- You must have heart failure with preserved or mildly reduced pumping function (ejection fraction over 40%) or be a healthy volunteer without heart disease.
- If you have heart failure, you may or may not have transthyretin amyloid cardiomyopathy (ATTR-CM).
- You cannot have severe valve disease, a pacemaker other than standard, recent heart attack, or be on dialysis.
- You cannot have certain other heart muscle diseases or have had treatment for ATTR-CM with special medications.
