Who can take part

  • You are 18 years old or older.
  • You have ALS caused by a change in the SOD1 gene.
  • If you take riluzole, you must be on a steady dose for at least 30 days before starting the study and stay on that dose.
  • If you take edaravone, you must have been on it for at least 60 days before starting and continue on a steady dose unless your doctor says to stop.
  • Women who can become pregnant must use effective birth control during the study.
  • You cannot have taken tofersen before, or any treatment with stem cells, gene therapy, or RNA interference.
