Who can take part
- You must be between 18 and 80 years old.
- Your stroke symptoms must have started less than 12 hours ago.
- You must be eligible for or have received standard clot-dissolving treatment (intravenous thrombolysis).
- A brain scan must show no bleeding or need for a catheter-based clot removal.
- Your stroke must be moderate to severe (NIHSS score 6 to 24) with some weakness in an arm or leg.
- You cannot have taken certain other stroke medications (like edaravone or butylphthalide) after this stroke started.
