Who can take part

  • You had radiation therapy for head or neck cancer (like cancer of the mouth, throat, voice box, or sinuses) at least 6 months ago and it hasn't come back.
  • You have dry mouth every day and your saliva flow is low but not zero (between 0.05 and 0.5 mL per minute).
  • You are able to take care of yourself (up and about more than 50% of the time).
  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning pregnancy during the study.
  • You have not smoked or used tobacco in the last 6 months, and you drink no more than 10 alcoholic drinks per week.
