Who can take part

  • You had a stroke caused by a blood clot (ischemic stroke) at least 6 months ago.
  • Your walking speed is less than 0.8 meters per second (about half a mile per hour) on a 10-meter test.
  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have not had a bleeding stroke (intracerebral hemorrhage).
  • You do not have other conditions like Parkinson's, ALS, multiple sclerosis, dementia, or a major head injury that affect walking.
