Who can take part

  • Be between 18 and 80 years old.
  • Have a severe brain condition such as a major stroke, brain bleed, or traumatic brain injury requiring ICU care for at least 3 days.
  • Be at high nutritional risk or have trouble eating and need tube feeding for at least 5 days.
  • Not have a terminal illness, active major bleeding, severe liver failure, or uncontrolled diabetes.
  • Not be participating in another nutrition study.
