Smart diagnostic system for orthostatic hypotension

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, multiple system atrophy, or diabetes (if diabetic, you must be 50 or older).
  • You have symptoms or have been told you might have orthostatic hypotension (blood pressure drops when you stand up).
  • You have adequate bone windows in your temples for the ultrasound (TCD) test.
  • You are willing and able to give informed consent.
  • You do not have severe blockages in neck or brain arteries, recent stroke, serious heart rhythm problems, or other conditions that affect blood flow in your brain.
