Who can take part

  • You have orthostatic hypotension, meaning your top blood pressure drops by at least 30 points when standing
  • Testing shows your low blood pressure is “neurogenic,” caused by nerve/autonomic dysfunction rather than other causes
  • You are not pregnant and not breastfeeding
  • You do not have other major conditions that affect the brain/nerves or the autonomic testing (for example, recent heart attack, severe anemia, certain cancers, or thyroid problems)
  • You can do the study’s nerve/autonomic testing and your mobility/activity won’t be severely limited by other illnesses
