Who can take part

  • You have a type of nasopharyngeal cancer called non-keratinizing carcinoma (squamous cell type II or III).
  • Your cancer is stage IVa (T4N0-2M0 or T1-4N3M0) by AJCC 8th edition or stage III by AJCC 9th edition.
  • You have completed 3 cycles of chemotherapy with a platinum drug plus immunotherapy, and your tumor shrunk (partial or complete response) on imaging and your EBV DNA level is undetectable.
  • You are between 18 and 70 years old.
  • You have good overall health (ECOG score 0 or 1) and adequate organ function (blood counts, liver, kidney, and clotting).
  • You have not had previous treatment for your primary tumor or neck lymph nodes (chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, or surgery except for diagnosis).
