- You are scheduled for a complex spine surgery under general anesthesia.
- You are 18 years old or older.
- Your physical status is healthy to mildly limited (ASA class I, II, or III).
- You do not have any sores or infections on your ear skin.

- You do not have a pacemaker or other implanted electronic device.

- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, not expected to need another surgery or ICU stay, and not in another trial.
