This trial uses an artificial intelligence (AI) program to see if it can predict which patients who had a stroke from an unknown cause might develop atrial fibrillation (an irregular heart rhythm). If you have a small heart monitor already implanted, the AI will analyze your ECGs to find early signs of AFib, which could help prevent future strokes.

Who can take part

  • You are 30 years old or older.
  • You have had a stroke from an unknown cause (called ESUS) and have a small heart monitor (ICM) implanted or will get one.
  • You had a 12-lead EKG (heart tracing) done within 2 weeks before or after your ICM implant.
  • Your heart rhythm is normal (sinus rhythm) when you start the study.
  • You have never been diagnosed with atrial fibrillation (AFib) before.
  • You agree to take part in the study and sign a consent form.
