Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have a type of irregular heart rhythm called persistent atrial fibrillation (AFib) that has lasted for more than 6 months, and your doctor has decided you need a procedure to fix it (AF ablation).
  • OR you have a different dangerous heart rhythm called ventricular fibrillation (VF) or ventricular tachycardia (VT) that hasn’t been well controlled with standard medications.
  • You are willing and able to have a heart monitor (implantable Holter or defibrillator) that your doctors can check remotely after the procedure.
  • You do NOT have an overactive thyroid, a severe infection, or other major medical condition causing your heart rhythm problem.
  • You do NOT have a blood clot in your heart or other reason that makes heart catheterization unsafe.
