CAR Treg cell therapy for recent-onset type 1 diabetes

Stage 3 Type 1 Diabetes

Part of Hormones & metabolism, Immune system & allergy clinical trials.

This trial tests a new treatment using your own immune cells (called Tregs) that are modified to target and calm the immune attack on the pancreas. It is for people diagnosed with stage 3 type 1 diabetes within the last 12 to 24 months who still make some insulin.

NCT06708780Recruiting· Phase 1
Treg cell therapy for type 1 diabetes

This trial tests whether giving your own regulatory T cells (a type of immune cell) back to you can help slow or stop the immune attack on your pancreas in type 1 diabetes. It is for people aged 8 to 65 who still make some insulin.

Treating early stage 1 type 1 diabetes in children with cell therapy and antibody

This trial tests a new combination treatment for children who have been diagnosed with stage 1 type 1 diabetes, meaning they have some markers but do not yet need insulin. The treatment uses special immune cells (Treg cells) and an antibody (anti-CD20) to try to preserve the body's ability to make insulin.
